Ed, yeah, Kev's mate had it and returned it to standard glory, still shiny though.

Kev, yeah, will have to have a mini photoshoot, Your XR, sorry, i mean rallye, and my Gaystone.
Cossie should, fingers crossed, be on the road start of next month, and through the a hedge by the 2nd.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's usually due to the fact that the 4x4 transmission and running gear were sometimes made of chocolate.

Plus you could go a little faster with 2wd, and of course Drrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiffffftttt!!

davewagon has got it, the 4x4 transmission is ok up to about 350 bhp, then it struggles, and its HUGE money to get a decent setup, the 2wd setup can take a bit more, i'll still break gearbox's and diffs, but at a slower rate!
Plus everyone says 2wds drive much nicer.

XR is higher spec than my Rallye you cheeky tw*t!!!Razz

2wd Saph's are WAY nicer to drive than the agricultural horrible 4wdYes

Only problem is with the power Dan's is running they will go sideways at 100mph in 4th gear on a damp road if you give them a bootfullCool

So as Dan predicts, his won't be on the road long!!!!Crazy

Well, today i have put on a set of heko wind deflectors and some xsara mist jets, also started refurbing the cyclones, i was in two mind on what colour to do, half of me said silver again, the other half said a light anthracite. So, i did neither of the above and went for BMW graphite sparkling, looks nice on the wheel, may look utter tat on the car, hopefully not.

Wind deflectors make any odds?

Where did you get them from can i ask (and the part number you used for xsara jets?)

Cheers,
Dave

I had deflectors on my hdi and i like them, a lot quieter with the window partially down, also stops rain coming in.

They where off ebay,

They are a dark anthracite, something called 'M2' at the refurb place!

My car is -30mm Eibachs at the front and the torsion bars to suit. Where did you get 50mm from? Unsure LOL

This looks great, I hope to be lowering mine on Eibachs soon, did you retain the standard shocks or replace them too?

This picture always puzzled me, does your car have a crease in the rear quarter??

She does have a slight crease yeah Sad

Also has a bit of a dent in the rear panel below the bootlid (the only bit you cant replace LOL) which is a bit s**t but in a couple of months i will find out if im keeping her and may get the one at the rear of the car sorted!

The crease hasnt really bothered me much.

I replaced the standard shocks with Bilstein B4's and Eibach 30mm springs.

Another '6, or new car altogether?

What sort of price do B4's cost?

I might be getting a company car/TDI for work Sad

In which case i have nowhere i can store her. It was a while back but i think the B4's were about £85 from ECP and springs about £110.

Here's the first wheel painted

back on the car with a new Kumho on

And you can see new wind deflector here

Only 3 more to do, the pictures make the wheels look a bit dull, they are quite shiny, very metallic to be fair.

Still got a to do list before it goes on the road...
Paint the other 3 wheels and chuck the other 3 kumho's on
Find a splitter
Fit the magnex
buy and fit Eibach's ont he front
Adjust torsion bar to match
Fit new fog lights

Also, do upper and lower strut braces make much difference to these? and what about decat's, worth it, or is it just going to make my exhaust unbearably noisy?

Kev said that, only reason i bought it was because i had one on my 309 and it was really quiet!
Are they even loud with just the back box fitted?

Youll love it, I got a full system and decat on mine, pops and bangs and spits flames out a treat. Makes it pull harder top end too.
