My Gti 6 has let me down again, had a horrible knock then lost my PAS and nearly crashed into a roundabout Crazy
What i need to know is -

- Are GTI 6 PAS systems different to any other 306's
- Is there anyone local to me (kent area) who would happen to have a second rack, pump, pipes etc

I have literally dumped the car at work and will investigate tommorow, obviously will only need the damaged part and can collect if 'local ish'

I really need the car this weekend , and once I find out what I need tommorow I will be on again tommorow.

So If anyone on here may or may know of anybody that have PAS parts availble/for sale in the Kent area please could u let me know.
I work in Maidstone Kent, I live In Gillingham and have contacts In Folkestone/Hawkinge who can collect parts once I know what I need.

If I can get spares from a car breakers I will, But wanted to know if the GTI 6 has a different PAS system to other 306's.
Thanks

All the racks are the same it's just the ram which will more than likely be the fault.

can the Ram be replaced on its own? I have noticed it has been damp there for a few years, never had to top up steering fluid.
So any rack/ram do the trick

Hi Ryan,

As you may be aware, since the forum re-launch last year we have operated a membership model for access to the technical forums.

You've posted a few technical questions in the General forum over the last few months which have all been allowed to remain and be answered by our resident technical experts. However, as I'm sure you can understand, this practice is unfair to those who have purchased membership.

If you value the advice and speedy response from our resident technical experts then please consider purchasing membership, and posting your questions in the relevant technical forums.

Thanks

Smile
