is this needed? my car has died and in the process of trying to find out what the problem is there was a huge bang and now the plenum air box is in pieces Angry

Not especially, people do put bungs in instead. Them going bang is quite common.

does it make any difference to power or anything? /if i put all the bits back together theres a small hole that looks like a flat headed screw driver has been stabbed through it? could that cause it not to start with lack of air?

It will be leaking air into the intake, repair or fit a resonator bung.

It should still start anyway if would just rev its self, you still need to fix it though and then find out why its not starting

Where will I get a bung or will anything that blocks the hole do? And where is the best place to get inlet gaskets from? Cheers

i have a bung if needed? as ive fitted my tbs its not needed.
