whats it for? it goes through the middle of the filter and looks like its pointles |

thought it might be an emissions thing. was wondering if it does anything to the performance. |

i waonderd this my self but id imagine it might be like the astras airbox there air restrictors remove them for increased performance its probly the same on a 6 |
