does anyone have any info or know of a pug gearbox that will max 4th gear at approx 130mph 7k revs

just looking to try something on one of our race cars as the derv boxes are just to long

any info would be great Thumbs up

xsara vts is 7400 at 125.

I just had a look, my speedo must have been out a little, 115 at 7450 on an MI16/vts 4th


gti6 box will give 127@ 7k in 5th, 124 from a 1.9, or 138 in 5th on a 1.6 box.

could you not build a 'hybrid' box ie gears from different boxes

This was going to be my suggestion.

I don't think you will find an 'off the shelf' box that will do what you want, so you may have to run a readily available box with different ratios and/or final drive. Yes

could do yes but just wanted to try something quickly to see if it would work before building the proper box for it but since there isnt one there close enough thats what will have to happen , just means more time lol

as stan said, think your option here is to look at all the available ratios and final drives
