Oi! I take offense Razz

My cage was bolt in, and designed to do just that. The load spreader plates were bigger than the feet.

Perhaps I'm confused but if you have a cage that needs feet and box sections welded in to fit, it's not exactly bolt in!

Bolt in cages are meant to have plates on the outside of the car, so it sandwiches the car. If you had to weld s**t, it wouldnt be bolt in would it?! I brought a brand new Cusco bolt in for my Nissan btw.

depends on the cage, but any that want to have an MSA logbook will have welded in plates.

still bolt in as you can un-bolt the cage Wink

I get you Welshpug, but I've never seen the point. I only got mine cos a mate did a deal after his cro mo cage saved his life when he rolled his car. If I ever decided to get a cage again, it would be proper. Turret to turret etc. Not half welded/half bolted.

If only though :/

Bloody hell, never getting in your car.

Hadn't noticed this thread yet Chris, wanted to congratulate you on the furthest you've ever got on a job without giving up and just selling me the parts.

Good show.

Cheeky bas**rd Laugh

I only did that with those top mounts as would of been a while before I could get them fitted, and I was skint Blush

Back on topic. My cage still isnt fitted, still with a mate while I wait for it to be painted.

Not really. I had a 2inch thick plate on the outside in either wheel arch so if it was goint to rip out it would have to rip a good hole.

I was thinking that!

With my TD 1.2 wheels with sticky tyres, the tyres was catching the inner arch.
