And lets face it, I think if we didnt have other cars for sale people would advertise in the peugeots for sale section. Which introduces more work to admin to remove them. As seen in the current new classified section.

Its definatley worth considering in my opinion.

Surely people aren't going to pay just to sell their nan's Rover 100, so they'd dump it in Peugeots for sale anyway?

Thus still making work for the mods? Open it up to everyone. It worked before.

That's exactly why it was changed.

Just make both the peugeots for sale and others for sale just for members. What's a fiver to sell your car.

I think this is a good idea.

It worked for me.

Don't get me wrong; I love this site and I'm not a 'forum hater'. I just feel that the classified section feels a bit stale.

Can you not just set every new thread in the "cars for sale" section(s) to be auto-locked when created? Solves the problem of people posting crap in there. Would this allow the creator/seller to then edit their post if the car sells?

It doesn't make a blind bit of difference to me and I'm all for change and trying new things, but why was it broken exactly? Why was it so urgent to be changed and so unlikely to be returned now? Dunno

I'm intrigued that's all, it worked for me fine on 2 occasions in the past so thank you Smile
