my car has developed a missfire over 5000 revs , i have checked for air leaks and changed the map sensor but still persists any ideas ?Sad

Not sure but I'd check the coil packs in case

You got your own personnel map or on the generic map? I believe lee has this and has spent a small fortune to no avail. I believe its down to the copied map and if it was mapped to that engine that the engine would run spot on.

it did run spot on when i first converted it several months ago , but its returned , i had a problem after the first run which turned out to be a coil pack , but how do you test the things?

now not running correctly , had one run with the replaced coil packs then the symptoms returned ! grrrrr friggin thing , i have put a new set of plugs in as well , seems like an early rev limiter , not sure if its down on power lower down as well , it has a new lamda , iv changed the map sensor and icv , going to try leaving the battery disconected overnight and see what happens , dodgy ecu? head gasket ? does not seem to use any water though

checked and double checked all the sensors and coil packs and plugs , will rev fine stationary but not under load , fuel pump? regulator? if so how do i check them?

The lack of power after 5k is what mine did when the cat was kanckard. I would look at your exhaust in case something has gone wrong with that.

exhaust looks fine , i could try swopping over my old lambda and see if it makes any difference

Check fuel flow rate on the rail return as per my text.

Did you want to send me the ECU to look at / test?

Fuel pump was the problem , changed the regulator as well as I had damaged the O rings , don't bother trying to find replacements , just get a Bosch 3bar one from a golf , the seals are better (green ) , mine cost me £2.00 complete !
