I use a Nissens aluminium radiator, brilliant bits of kit.

I would highly recommend one. Yes

If your rad is nearly new seems pointless to change it Dunno the Ordonez ones where fitted as standard I believe

Ordonez are the standard item yes, although he did state that he wanted to sell it and get a Nissens one. I too can see the logic of keeping the Ordonez one until it fails and then replacing it with a Nissens one, and this in fact what I would do if I was in his position. Yes

The Nissens rad does allow the engine to run slightly cooler on track I have found, but it is only a small difference.

Fitting the oil cooler is where the real benefit will come, as these engines do like heating the oil up pretty quickly on track. Yes

sorry to hijack this thread but its a good time to ask, is it worth switching to the nissens rad when sc'ing or is the standard one still just as capable?

I changed mine when I first went low boost because I had to remove it to fit the conversion, so simply replaced it with a Nissens one. Although there was nothing wrong with my Ordonez one, it was the original and was around 8 years old at the time so I just did it anyway.

I might change mine then when the conversion is done, the one on there at the moment looks abit worse for wear, would look alot better with all shiny new parts on with the SC, and give more peace of mind

I don't suppose you know roughly how much they are do you? I know I'm being lazy here and could search myself but just thought if someone knew then it would save some time and effort

I belive Rich walker can also supply these and I'm sure it's a better price than carls.
He supplied mine with the oil cooler outlet on the opposite side, which is better for the routing of the charger to intercooler pipe.

I want a Nissens rad and Carl's price is £160 delivered now. My rad needs doing in the next 1000 or so miles.

I'll give Rich a call and see how his price compares.

EDIT: Rang Rich and he said he wouldn't send one out as he doesn't hold them in stock, it might get damaged in the post, and didn't want to be liable, and they sometimes arrive with the wrong hose fitting. If I wanted to get it fitted there he would order one in but not to send out in the mail.

Anyone have any experience of his bodyshop at Lynx? He's not too far away from me. My bonnet, bumper and boot lid need a respray and I'm getting it done at the end of summer.
