Well, I think we have all agreed on what needs to happen in order to keep this place a popular forum for all concerned.

Now the question is can we get the ideas passed and start bringing this site back to a top notch standard?? Unsure

Informative and technically useful, good banter, topics being discussed in the correct sections, no mess and no moaning...Smile

Well let's be honest, we are almost there. Seems like the site isn't as bad ad everyone makes it out to be.

The site isn't that bad, it's the fact that we're all paying money to someone who doesn't care that irks me.

I wouldn't agree with that so much. People decided to pay as financial help was asked for to run this forum, hence the fee.
So technically, the only reason you can post is because the people that have paid are carrying you so that you still have an operational forum to post on. LOL

interesting thread; I think Stan talks a lot of sense Yes a flat £5.00 annual subscription fee to post for everybody would work; this would deter trolls and put everyone on the same footing.
I think we need a few active mods or admins who can move threads around if need be. if everyone paid we wouldn't have all these questions asked in general, less maintanance would needed by mods. there is always the naughty step if needed too. For every twat that says use the search there is always a few nice helpful guys that will try to answer your question!

I think soulmans statement rang very true! this forum has always been the same. if not a little lacklustre at the moment i thought every one was being uber polite today and though wtf!
so all in all iagree with stan and soulman it;s not broke just needs to tweaked so there is no disparity between membership levels! simples!; more mods; flat rate fee!

WOW. I had no idea that so many would post on this. It proves a point though. There are a lot of decent people on here, the info is informative and, contrary to belief, people want to help and enjoy the crack. I for one am really glad I found this place. I would never have had the courage to post this thread normally but I feel this is a good forum and would like it to continue for years to come.

Stan for Admin FTW and if I can help in any way I will gladly donate some time. Thumbs up

On the paying issue. This site is worth paying for. We can all browse for free but lets put a bit back eh? Thats my opinion and I'm not trying to intice a riot between the payers/non payers.

Thanks everybody for keeping this one on track.

P.S. I thought my work day was busy but you lot have been to town....LOL

Just remember,

Its cheaper to make a houseshoe out of cotton and leather that you replace every year then a house from bricks and mortar.

This is why I live in a shoe.

Stan can be admin on the terms that he deletes all threads that I find boring or simply annoying and also bans Owain.
