Does anyone know what is contained in the black box inside the inlet cam cover?

I'm cleaning up my cam covers and would ideally like to clean it out completely as I can see a lot of crap built up down the pipe outlets.
I've undone the screws but can't open it up, I assume the sealant is holding it down, just don't want to force it in case I break anything

Yes, the sealant is holding it down. You just need to prize it up, not much contained in there to be honest. Its just a box full of little tunnels like a mini maze.

Its only worth it if you want to give it a proper deep clean or you have a suspicion that it is clogged full of crap. Wink
