Just after some advice on what set up to go for

i dont want cheap halfords crap etc

heard and read different types you can get, my old car ran a bmc cda set up but was quiet on noise

i am keeping the car standard witht regards to the exhaust but want a nice induction noise

what are the best ones on the market, my mate use own a rallye and he said a k and n panel filter does a good job

K&N induction kit or panel filter will set you up nicely. However, for the best performance setup an enclosed filter with a good cold air feed would be best. Smile

Iv just fitted a powerflow on my 6 with the standard exhaust an its sounds amazing

I fitted a Pipercross filter I had kicking about, removed the original airbox and attached it straight into the original piping so it sits fairly low.

Sounds quite throaty over 4k and is definitely more responsive and revs more freely from 5 to 7k.

Tried a K&N panel filter, made no noticeable difference.
