Take it to another dyno verify the readings, have you driven another GTI6 to compare?
Have you checked the condition of the cat.
Would you like someone to tell you need the engine rebuilt is that what you wanted to hear?

Your having a laugh? If you actually read the posts you will find quite a lot of suggestions. Take it to another dyno verify the readings, have you driven another GTI6 to compare? Have you checked the condition of the cat. Would you like someone to tell you need the engine rebuilt is that what you wanted to hear? |

I've seen a few useful suggestions yes - and they are on the list to check out... just trying to gather if anyone has ever seen a similar problem.Driven other GTi-6's and tbh doesn't feel that different, maybe a little flat at the top end but that's it. Not checked the cat no - again, on the list. The engine doesn't need to be rebuilt, trust me. It's smooth as silk and a low miler. mileage counts for jack shit.have seen donald ducked 70k engines, and then you have Miles's 290k example producing over book power. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

As I said, smooth as silk.Uses no oil, no blowby, no mayonnaise etc etc. It's a solid, sound engine. Jeez, you lot are a friendly bunch aren't you!? :-) ________________________________________ HDI Engine Tuning / Remapping Services - https://www.facebook.com/dervtech306 GTi-6 Track Car - 200+ hp all N/A! 306 DTurbo Track beasty - 209.9hp - RIP |

Right,I think I will start on this at the weekend - see if I can regain a few ponies. Plugs, filters etc first... I also think I need to swap the sunny remould tyres on it! That might explain the power output, not enough grip to turn the dyno ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

So it's going well so far.4 x new tyres went on, and whilst it was up in the air I noticed a big gaping hole in the exhaust middle section... yes it was blowing pretty bad! Fixed all that, and decided to fit some new plugs to help recoup the power... now it's mis-firing like a b*tch at idle. New air filter sat on my desk to go in, and looking around for coilpacks. Anyone got any ideas, getting sick of this thing now JP ________________________________________ HDI Engine Tuning / Remapping Services - https://www.facebook.com/dervtech306 GTi-6 Track Car - 200+ hp all N/A! 306 DTurbo Track beasty - 209.9hp - RIP |

last two I did HG's on didn't have mayo.but indeed if they're not pressurising and the coilpacks have cracks then start with them. exhaust would not have helped, did you not hear the BLLAAAAPAPPRPPRPRPRRp from the big gash? ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
