Does anyone know how much current the starter solenoid draws on start up please.
Also the wiper motor.

Starters are a 1.1 Kw unit typically, not a clue on wiper.

Sure I read somewhere the starter can draw about 140A on startup?

If this is any help I rigged up some mains multi-core cable for a switch solenoid bodge as had starting trouble on an S16 motor. That could withstand over 30secs of cranking without getting hot.

Not sure exactly what they draw but it is not a lot. It is just a solenoid. If you measure the resistance across it you can work it out...

Yeah I might have to do that. I am just hoping I could get away with using 10 or 16.5 amp wire.
