Hi people, Names Martyn (or Obeast coz im a bit (lot) fat!!)

I dont actually have a 306 GTi-6 i have a Citroen Xsara Vts phase one, but i hope i will be as welcome as the pug owners LOL

Anyway I've joined because I'm seeking advice and information on a long running issue i have with my vehicle engine, possibly electrial, not entirely sure and as much as the guys on the Xsara's owners club have been brilliant Ive never really got to the bottom of the issue so thought I'd check this place out. Don't worry I'm not here for freebies lol, I'm going to join up properly as soon as I have more than dust in my account which will be sometime this week.

I was going to link a picture of my Xsara on here but don't seem to be able to yet.

Anyway ill shut up rambling on!
Cheers! Thumbs up

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

The saxo vts is also lighter than a 106 gti but the pug owner is usually a better driver.

LOL Like it

Answer to the question,IIRC and please be aware my memory is going now,Weight difference is about 20kg in favour of the vts,but the gti6 uses sequential fuel injection wich gives it the 167 horses compared to the Xsara using Electronic fuel injection returning 162 bhp .Resulting in the six being slightly heavier but returning a slightly better bhp to ton ratio and a bit more torque. And if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will be along soon to shoot me down in flames and call me a thick tw@.

LOL
You beat the rat to it
Fair play though I've had a meeander and most spec sites do give the vts as 120 kw and the 6 as 124.
