I've just fitted my old Sparco wheel to the China and was wondering if anyone on here knew off the top of their head the value of resistor I need to fool the airbag circuit into turning off the flashing amber warning light on the dash, thanks.

if that definitely works then please

might be worth stating the obvious but….

quote:

Do not, under any circumstances, try to measure the resistance of an undeployed airbag . Almost all multimeters will put enough current through an airbag to make it go off when measuring resistance due to the fact the meter has a 9V battery in it that is used when measuring resistance, 9v is not 12v but it still possible to set off a airbag, unlikey but VERY possible.

Be safe, you could disconnect the air bag and fit one of the resistors that we sell and see if the light goes off.

i used a 20p(?) 1.8 ohm resistor Yes

had to use one on passenger side seat wiring
and a plug up near where the airbag plugs in

my airbag comes on..... and then goes off.
Took me long enough Roll eyes

never checked passenger side as it was the only plug that looks like it wasnt broken

I am fitting ph1 seats in a ph3, would anyone be so kind as to confirming whether this is the resistor i need to get to attach to the airbag wire on the car to trick the airbag light? (ie. the same for steering wheel and seat airbag wire?)
