It's been a while since I posted, but have been reading lots.

Anyway, not sure if this is engine or electrical, but the bright red STOP is coming on for a few seconds then going off again. Then a few minutes later it might come on again, then turn off again. It might stay off for minutes or even an hour, but then flashes intermittently again.

The car still makes good power, all fluids are topped up, no other gremlins, starts first time, although it does seem a little more thirsty than normal which makes me think it's a sensor somewhere. Any idea where I should be looking?

Thanks.

oh and while I'm here, some titilation!

i had this after it had been very wet. Pretty sure its water getting into or onto either the blue fan sensor or bitron unit. As you say it's intermittent

I agree, this symptom is usually associated with a problem in the fan system somewhere...

Either the Bitron unit has got wet, or corrosion is beginning to settle in on the two big engine-to-chassis loom plugs located on the passenger inner wing in the engine bay. Sad
