I'm well aware that the GTi-6 has a crap turning circle because of the 6 speed box, however mine is a phase 3 and has this problem, but my friend has a phase 2 and the turning circle is much much better!

What's the difference?!

Are they both 100% standard or does one car have trolly wheels from a shopping trolly?

A phase three should be one better than a phase two. It's simple mathematics. Dunno

I am thinking of getting an orange flashing beacon for mine. Trying to make a 180 turn on anything smaller than a major roundabout is a little bit of fun.

Ahh he did say the service history indicated the car has had a new steering rack at some point so it must be that. I can now go and mock him, cheers!

If the steering lock is a reak issue, install a hydraulic handbrake!
