Happy new yr everyone, first problem of the new yr for me is my car won't idle properly it drives fine and don't miss a beat but as soon as I stop it idle really bad and some time even cuts out any idea wot could be the problem and how I would sort it out cheers

give the idle control valve a clean.
could also be a split in the the plastic resonator under the inlet.

its been covered many times before so have a search.

if its not the above then from what ive read it may be to do with the stepper motor?? (may be wrong though)

Thanks mate I've had a play with the throttle cable and now it ticks over fine no problems.
Hopefully there won't be any more problems

All you've done is tricked it, opened up the butterfly flap slightly.
it's probably going to come back.
