hi when you take a 6 engine out do you need to drop the gear box or is it possible to take it out with the gearbox still on the engine ? or even better can you get an engine in with the gearbox attached to the engine

front panel off and straight out the top with it all in one piece.

is that not alot of work taking the panel off. can you not take it up from underneath?

no, its a doddle.

can't go down as the exhaust manifold is too big, subframe would have to come off and the car needs to be pretty high for that, beyond most peoples trolley jacks

so out of top if you take radiator and bumper off with the gearbox on and it goes back in too that way

Leave the front panel on, Just remove the rad for safety and up out the top
