Not sure if there is a way? Don't think it should just lock itself though, you have done nothing to car?unplugged ECU etc? Your key hasn't fallen apart has it? ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Ive umplugged my ecu and removed it from the car. The battery had long since been disconected. Will that have caused any issues for me Kev? ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? Have you checked the knock sensor ? Big red button to right of engine bay ? It should be pressed down Thats not the knock sensor, thats the inertia fuel cut off switch to cut the fuel if you have an accident. The knock sensor is bolted to the block and detects knocks/pinking in the engine and adjusts the timing to prevent engine damage. |

I'm not 100% sure Andy, but I think on our setup it is not used and left unplugged... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

All gti6's have a knock sensor, even the s16's too. Its a round sensor bolted to the front of the block in the middle, just below the head. Has a wire and green 3 pin plug on it. |

buzzbrightyear wrote: well Ive never noticed that before or even herd it mentioned on here. It wouldn't run very well on the Pug ECU if it wasn't there Andy... As I say I am pretty sure the DTA doesn't use it as an input. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
