Just got some part worn winter tyres off ebay and had them fitted yesterday. I got Michelin Alpin PA2's from this
Ebay Seller
185/65/15's fit ok, were about £110 delivered and came next day.

The car feels much better already, even with the balloon tyre look, glad I got these on before the snow.

check the dates on them, one thing I forgot to do even though the Alpins I bought were fine, no cracking etc, one blew out within 25 miles and the other had feck all grip, they were 03 IIRC Doh

though the PA3's I got on the front are awesome, they are 09's with 7mm.

Is the date stamped on them or is it a code? Tyres all looked good before I had them fitted, but I've heard of problems with old stock tyres before.

it'll be a 4 digit number in an oval on one side of the tyre. week and year.
