This may be a dodgy eBay POS, but real manufacturers are toying with the idea of using electric driven Turbo's to combat lag in small turbocharged engines for production use. Big turbo to get the power figures, electric motor to spool it up from idle.

Thumbs up BMW are leading the field with this sort of technology. If you like engine tech they're definitely one to watch for the future, as well as MAHLE Powertrain.
