Looking at buying a car and using it for track. Quite fancy another 6, stripping it, tyres, suspension, etc but there are lots of other cars to choose from! I've had 2 106 gti's in the past, awsome cars. Anyone came up on one on track? What are they like as a track car? Again it would be a great car to strip out etc, easy to make really lightweight! Not looking to spend much on one, maybe 1000 at the most. Any ideas much appreciated! (prefer it to be non turbo'd... having a turbo is cheating!) ![]() Cheers! |

Save your money and do some sensible road/track mods to your current car ![]() It won't make it undrivable on the road if you keep it subtle and when set up correctly they can be real giantkillers on track. Or... Try something like this ________________________________________ Standard Black 6Black HBSC6 ![]() |

I did my first trackday at Knockhill a few weekends ago in my Rallye and while I was quicker than Clio 172s and a Mini Cooper S I was no match for some of the tuned Jap cars. Saying that, my friend's caged and stripped 250bhp Skyline wasn't much faster than me down the straights. As soon as he adds more power through I'll be toast! ________________________________________ Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. |

C/S70 T5. You can buy a modified one with uprated suspension, brakes and over 300BHp for £1200. Strip out the interior to get it down to 1300kg. Farking quick car then and a lush noise. Parts are cheap too. Main work will then be handling and putting the power down. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
