sounds like oil pressure. does the noise happen if you rev the car while stationary? |

I had a VERY simular noise from my 207 GTi when a coil spring became unseated, always light throttle, always latter end of the rev range. May be unrelated to do, but may be worth a look. Have you checked that your heatsheilds are still attached to the body correctly? ________________________________________ Team : Sold my 6![]() |

I was going to suggest the bulkhead or exhaust heat shield... could it be engine mount if only happens when under load? Can you not tell if its coming from the front or back of the car? |

A spark plug that's loose? Fairly common problem on the GTi6, believe it or not!________________________________________ Peugeot 306 Dimma Coupe N/A -95 |

Wouldnt say its oil pressure at those sorts of RPM. If it was low on pressure and you were reving it hard, it wouldnt last for long.It sounds like somethings loose - is the engine undertray flapping about? ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt?
