I'm actually amazed that you have found the time to write a reply, instead of thinking about the next project!!

Cheers for sharing this, I'm sure I'll think of a few things to try this out on. Black side strips perhaps on the rallye? Hmmm....I very much want to play. I might even spray it on my bonnet just for the fun of peeling it off again! Looks like you'd need a lot of tins to do a whole bonnet though?

I have some of this, used it on my pedals. Sure enough, it's all come off.

Looks like people have had good success painting large panels with the stuff. Would rather use this stuff than matt paint for, say, the bonnet or trim.

Gilesy, i'm already awaiting payday Laugh

I think i'd definitely try it on side trim, spoiler, quarter panel caps, mirror casing, rear badge & lock...and any other black trim i find! Would certainly save back to blacking stuff anyway and still maintain the look of the car.

I'd be careful before going too mad, it really does end up like a peelable rubber coating. I used it on my ARB before putting it back on, a significant amount of it had come off again by the time I'd gotten the bar back on the car.

It's good stuff for the right application, but I wouldn't go covering the car in it quite yet.

Quick, If you wanted some Black or Yellow paint, you better buy it now before it's all gone. Whistle

I have been thinking of making the bonnet of my van black (all the rage round here) and that maybe the answer.

Saying that I have been. CLaying my long wheel base crafter and polishing it all week to get it ready for a wrap on the bonnet. Made it look new again and then reversed into a canopy and put a dent in the back door. Talk about feeling deflated. I sweat blood trying to make it look clean last week. So I may well blow the whole idea out end of the day it is justa van banging round London everyday and could probably do without drawing attention to my self with the amount of liberties I take.
