Does anybody have a spare oil pressure sensor from a phase 1 - the large type that drives the oil pressure gauge on the dashboard? My gauge is reading high and I think it might be the sensor ...Thanks, Simon |

It's reading about 8 bar from cold start, then warm about 2.5 bar at 800rpm idle but then climbs quickly to about 6 - 7 bar at 2500 - 3000 rpm and then 7.5 to 8 bar at 4500 rpm +. I never remember it reading that high when we first had it. I've had the oil pump out today, replaced the PRV spring and the PRV piston seems to be sliding freely, so don't think anything is up with the pump. Thanks for the reply Johnny205, I might just ignore it for the moment though as I've spent a fair bit on the car recently and feeling a bit poor to spend an extra £20. |
