Hi, I just cleaned my icv out today, performed the ecu reset, but now when the ignition is turned on the fuel pump continues to prime itself where as before it would stop after 4 seconds or so. Any ideas? I noticed it ran slightly lumpy after the second time I started it up.

Mine does this sometimes, I don't think it's anything to worry about. The fuel pump is always on when driving anyway even if not needed, it just returns unused fuel to the tank.

Having the pump running too long won't cause any undue pressure or anything, never figured out why mine does it sometimes though.

ok well that's somewhat of a relief. I just went outside to try it again, and now it primes for around 1-2 seconds whereas before it would be about 4-5. I think i might have put a crack in the inlet rubbers when I twisted the icv breather out of the way, explaining the lumpy idle. good excuse to upgrade I suppose! Cheers!

Funny you should say that. My fuel pump used to just sit and prime itself randomly, even after locking it and key not being in ignition. Since it has been supercharged, I don't think it has done it Laugh
