Right have a couple of problems. The other night the tape player decided it wanted the code again, god knows why, just did. Put the wrong code in (my bad) and it just came up with 4 dashes on the tape player, so I thought i'd disconect the battery. This is where everything went wrong. Put battery back on and the hazards flashed really quickly, the tape player just doesn't work, clocks went all the way up and the clock/temp is now doing a funky dance. Played with some fuses and made it worse and wouldnt start. Narrowed it down to worn wires to the + on the batt which are getting sorted tomorrow and took the fuse out for the anti code start thingy to stop the hazards and the clocks have sorted them selves. Still have no tape player and the clock is just showing vertcial lines then horizontal lines. Any ideas?________________________________________ www.eastcoastmodified.orgE46 318i tourer SE - Dog Car/Work horse 306 Gti - Track Project |

Follow the wiring from the battery negative terminal to the earth point on the passenger side chassis rail. It is just below and in front of the battery box. Check it is done up properly. Do the same with the other earth point on the gearbox. Rix13 wrote: the clock is just showing vertcial lines then horizontal lines. Any ideas? It does that when the battery is disconnected. Set the time to sort it. ________________________________________ Standard Black 6Black HBSC6 |

The eight-track in my car started doing the same, so I just replaced it with a sweet gramophone boot install. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Right can back with battery sorted along with cambelt and tried sorting the tape player out by putting the anti code fuse in. put it back in, tape player works along with central locking etc but the hazards keep flashing even when i start the car. Do i have to unlock the car with the key fob buttons to tell it i have the right key? becuase if so mine doesnt work lol________________________________________ www.eastcoastmodified.orgE46 318i tourer SE - Dog Car/Work horse 306 Gti - Track Project |

couldnt care about the alarm, yer if i put the fuse in it sets the alarm and the fob hasnt had a battery in for a while so prob useless now, also someone bust it so i cant put battery in. is there a way of disabling the alarm without interfering with the radio and central locking?________________________________________ www.eastcoastmodified.orgE46 318i tourer SE - Dog Car/Work horse 306 Gti - Track Project |
