Hello my fellow GTI enthusiasts, first things first, sorry that this is in General although apparently 'I do not have access' to the suspension forum so I can't post in there. The question is as the title really, is there any wisdom in having adjustable rear dampers without similar adjustment on the front dampers? |

That's because you have to pay for membership to gain access to certain areas on this site. It's a bit of a taboo subject as some agree to pay and others don't.As for your suspension the only adjustment you can have on the rear would be damping settings, as the desired height will be chosen by you. Just click on advanced search as I imagine this has been covered many a time. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6![]() Team: 40.2 MPG ![]() 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ ![]() I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Hello mate thanks for the explanation of why I can't post in suspension. I have searched 'Adjustable rear dampers' but no one has asked this question on the few threads that came up. |

if they are valved properly to the springs and usage there shouldn't really be any need to alter the damping.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I saw some Gaz adjustables for cheap but wasn't sure if there would be any point with standard spec fronts that's all. |

The back would be more stiff than the front regardless of adjustment. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6![]() Team: 40.2 MPG ![]() 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ ![]() I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Okay then next question. I want to get some ZX Volcane rear dampers (they are supposed to be better than standard GTI) question is, where to get them? Obviously main dealer is going to cost about 200 pounds each, I've looked on Ebay but they don't have genuine pug only the Monroe ones. Sounds like some crappy Irish company! |

Online scrappies is your best bet but tbh your better off buying new. If you don't want a harsh ride then bilstein dampers and eibach springs will give you a good enough improvement in handling.________________________________________ Team Nile 6![]() Team: 40.2 MPG ![]() 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ ![]() I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Yeah I wouldn't entertain getting them used, sorry! Everyone harks on about getting the ZX Volcane ones but it seems that there is actually no way of getting them! Crazy! |

Why are volcanes better than system then? Stiffer? I always wonder when people say x is better than y if its mostly because something old is replaced with something new you know? ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |
