Rich E wrote: No, not if it's off. Thats pretty shit then. Might send Apple an email, when the phone is locked with a password i should not be able to be turned off. So can be tracked till the battery dies. This would make them unstealable... ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Yeah battery out but nobody will carry the small screwdrivers to do it on them. All I mean is so it gives you 10-15 minutes to use that find my iPhone app to trace it. Not saying you would always use it, say if you were mugged with a gun, but in my case 10 lads drunk manage to locate it I no doubt would of got it back that night. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Rich E wrote: It is... Settings > General > Restrictions > Location > Don't Allow Changes ok heres a question for Rich or anyone who may know... after doing this it blocks new apps from using location services and blocks any changes being made to location services, but why does it also block reminders from using location? try setting a reminder to remind you at a location and it wont let you? ________________________________________ supercharged China gti6 - Thu 16th Sep 1999 - sold2010 megane rs250 |

I think it's a bug, as location based reminders can still be set through Siri. There's an iOS 5 update due out in a few days, so perhaps there'll be a fix with that. ________________________________________ Rich |
