Too f*cking cheap! mine sold this week for ... £500. Bought in May for a grand, spend £700 in August on new wheels/tyres £200 in June on an exhaust and £100 in August on a beam. ... So in 6 months I've lost £1500. ________________________________________ Skoda Owner ... what am I doing here? |

So in 6 months I've lost £1500. you need to change your sig then! £1500 over 6 months? why spend all that when you have no intention of hanging on to it? i bought mine for £1500 a few years ago and no way have i spent much on it! you clearly have too much money if your happy to let it go so soon! mine now owes me nothing! ________________________________________ Formally team BLAZE now Team bianca recuperating from multiple organ failure nicely! items replaced so far, clutch, cambelt etc, radiator, exhaust, most of front running gear, wish bones, drop links, ball joints, track rod ends, bearings, brakes, calipers, discs, and pads, brake lines, front springs, brake balance compensator thingy, hand brake cable, throttle cable (twice), coil pack, door handle, windscreen, wipers, head lamps several sensors and bulbs .rear beam new throttle cable, new battery. .......... yeah man, team money pit! but shes still rollin! |

I did want to keep it, but it turns out the thought of having a GTi6 was better than the reality of having one. I bought it (and spent money on it) with the intention of using it as a "fun" car. Doing trackdays and using it on days off. But, it became painfully obvious that I was nebver going to use it for that. So, it became purely a car for getting too and from work. And since it cost quite a lot to run, the clutch was stiff and I'd made it too noisy. I began to hate it. Its now gone and I'm buying a push bike to do the 2 miles to work and we've changed the family car for a diesel Skoda Octavia VRS MKII, a car much more suited to my needs. I don't have a lot of cash and running an old, crappy, noisy, uncomfortable "hot hatch" was just annoying me I cut my losses and ran. I should never have bought my second GTi6 but I always had a feeling I'd sold my 1st one too soon. Buying the second one confirmed I did the right thing. ________________________________________ Skoda Owner ... what am I doing here? |

fair shout do the old bill run the "bike to work" scheme? i hear you can get hefty discounts! i know the feeling about it seeming like a good idea at the time. ________________________________________ Formally team BLAZE now Team bianca recuperating from multiple organ failure nicely! items replaced so far, clutch, cambelt etc, radiator, exhaust, most of front running gear, wish bones, drop links, ball joints, track rod ends, bearings, brakes, calipers, discs, and pads, brake lines, front springs, brake balance compensator thingy, hand brake cable, throttle cable (twice), coil pack, door handle, windscreen, wipers, head lamps several sensors and bulbs .rear beam new throttle cable, new battery. .......... yeah man, team money pit! but shes still rollin! |
