The little swivelling thing that levers the gear linkage - can it be unbolted and changed easily? Seem to remember there was some kind of cap thing over it, but no idea if it can be removed. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

So that metal cap thing just pops off the top does it? I've somehow managed to lose the ball from the bracket, which is making for a somewhat wobbly gearstick.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

ahh yeah that would do it indeed the cap just pops off with a small screwdriver.I'm quite tempted to find a spherical bearing that fits inside the cylindrical bit on the long gear rod and weld on something to fit the bearing on the quadrant, should take out a lot of play But that means getting under the car and measuring stuff, have a spare quadrant I an weld up mind. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I had some on my old GRP A 306 that were mounted onto the engine block. This meant that the gear linkages moved with the box and stopped it pulling it out of gear if you had excessive engine movement. Worked brilliantly. Not sure if it was a genuine GRP A peugeot sport part of if the guy I bought it off had knocked it up himself. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |
