Hi all,

I'll make this as short as possible. I want to tackle the rusty bits in these areas:

So I want to remove:

1. ABS pump
2. Battery/ECU & Box
3. Fusebox
4. Power steering reservoir.

I assume removing the ABS pump means draining the brake fluid in the system before removal? And overall on each of these parts, are there any significant problems or anything I should know about upon re-fitting. I can appreciate that disconnecting some of the major electrical components in that area, might upset the car and this is my worry. I have no doubts in my mind about tackling the rust itself!

Many thanks for your advice in advance...

Brian

Which M6 studs in particular Mei?

I suppose I do have the multiplexed mindset, but even preplexed stuff with Peugeot can still have their french difficulties. So can i literally disconnect the battery, ecu, fuse box and put it all back in without a fuss so long as it goes back where i found it?

Pretty much Yes

ABS light will no doubt be on when you disconnect it but should go out after a short drive. Pump just unplugs and lifts out when you remove the lines

Erm, all of them!

Taking mine apart has been a pain in the arse, although I think mine is rather more rusty than most.

Good job its going to be a track slag as there's no way its going back together as it was LOL

Thanks a lot for your help lads. So I should probably just order me up some new bolts anyway and grease the hell out of them!?

This shall be an interesting task for me, I'll just need to have no fear with my car having no steering or brake fluid in it for a few days! lol.
