Hi,

Do all the GTI's have the same style batteries?

Ours has the round terminals and the connectors that tighten around them.

I guess over the years of use they have weakened and become loose/brittle.

I was thinking of swapping to a Ford style battery where the clamps bolt direclty on to the battery, thus taking away the round terminals and any future issue with overtightening and breaking etc.

Anyone done this before?

Also as this is a track car what smaller/lighter batteries do people use, and what type of terminals do these have?

Alex
