Well, after being without a car since killing my Rallye at a Coombe action day way back in Sept 2009 I am finally back behind the wheel of a 306. Not a Diesel, or a TB'd monster, I've gone to the dark side and joined the ranks of Team SC. Why the hell did'nt I do this sooner? Being back in a 6 reminds me of how I'll have to get used to sweating buckets when its hot (No A/C) and how weak my left leg has become without the daily workout you get from mashing down on a reluctant clutch pedal, oh yeah, and retraining your brain to allow extra room when negotiating righthanders! Its good to be back Roll eyes

I planned to do Brands really on the 27th, not sure the wallet can take 2 trackdays in a month. But it's not doing either unless I get a cooler sorted first.

By all means, it's not like you'd actually turn up when it came to it.

My advice would be to buy a MASSIVE oil cooler.

Running 16 row 235mm on my standard Rallye and it gets to 120C.

On my supercharged car it was getting hotter than this with the same cooler fitted.

There is bugger all space at the front for anything bigger than a 16 row, getting the water temps down a by 30% would help though so at some point it will get a big ally rad like Cosmic Spanner fitted, then if oil is still to hot I'll get another Laminova.

How much abuse did yours get to blow it up Jim?

I am hoping to be out on track on Sunday (decided yesterday) but my oil cooler isnt fitted yet. I was aiming to just do a few laps at a time, then back to the pits to cool off a bit to stop them getting high. This should be ok to do? Unsure
