Can anyone explain how the rallyes cooling fan system works? I have ascertained that it has a relay and a resistor.
Mine doesent work properly, and im trying to fault find it. However, i cant figure out exactly how it works to do so.

An explanation of how the system works would we excellent.

Cheers

Thermo switch in the rad ? activates the fans when it gets hot ?

Check the sensor switch in the top right of the rad as you look at the car Thumbs up

Yeah, i have already done this. I want to know how the thermo switch triggers the fan.
Theres three pins on the thermo switch, which then go to a relay, and to the resistor.

Im guessing that the resistor controls the speed, and the relay triggers the fans?

However, when i test it, pridging ins 1 + 2 triggers the fan, and bridging 2 + 3 does nothing.

Pin three goes to the resistor, and would appear to control the speed of the fan depending on the resistance of the thermo switch?

I just want to make sure that the thermo switch is knackered, and understand how the whole system works.
