Hi all, recently bought a rallye with a broken low speed fan.

so i have ascertained the following:

- Rallyes only have one fan
- They have a resistor where the other fan should be
- The sensor is on the rad
- The fan operates at low speed and high speed

However, there are three terminals on the rad sensor that control the low and high speeds of the fan.
- When i bridge the inner and outer teminals on the rad sensor cable the high speed fan spins up
- When i bridge the other inner and outer terminals, nothing happens, this should be low speed?

I have read that there is a resistor that controls the low speed fan?

How does the whole system work?

is there just the sensor, fan, and resistor? or is there more in the plastic cowling?

Would replacing the resistor fix this?

Cheers in advance.

Seriously, can anyone help me?

I have taken it all apart and tested it, but really not sure whats going on.
The resistor works i think.
The relay works in one position.
but 2 to 3 grounds the pin on the relay, but the relay doesent bridge the gap.

Im thinking its the relay, but im also tempted to say its the fan temperature switch.

Im not sure how the f*ck this arrangement works.

Please someone explain it to me?
