The 6 went into to garahe a wile back and wen i drove it home the induction kit fell off n i ran it over. (DOH) so i quickly drove to halfrauds n gpt a £30 inclosed jobby. Havnt thought anything of it since then but do you think this will be restricting the air flow rather than helping it? It might just be me i feel like its not quite as shark as it was since i got it. Its got a ss exhaust with decat. Going to put it on a rr soon as its nearly 15 yrs old to see how shes holding power but theres no point if its got a sh*tty induction.Do you think i should chanhe it or not bother? ________________________________________ cherry p1.....SOLD (regreting this)blaze p2.....why did i buy this SOLD Black p3 |

Get a proper induction kit or an OE airbox with a k&n panel, then get rid of the decat = win ________________________________________ Almost standard 1999 Bianca RallyeHilux InvincibleX daily 306 No.13 Carp and specialist Anglers Click here |

Do you think i should chanhe it or not bother? Yes, definitely. I got the "carbon encolsed" Halfords cheap one and even the box says it's rated up to 200bhp Looked like this when the enclosure broke off: And then compare that to the proper filter I have on now: On the rolling road at SoS it made 165bhp with the Halfords filter and 140lbft. With a K&N borrowed off someone else there it made 175bhp and 148lbft. It feels even quicker now with the new setup. Will do for a cheap filter but it's severely hampering performance, my AFR was far too rich at top end as it was starving the engine of air. ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

This is a good replacement for the money, or stick a K&N/Green cotton filter in the standard airboxhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001CKB6NC/ref=oss_product ________________________________________ Spanner Monkeys Monkey SpannerForum Search Clicky |
