It'll be the radio stalk.

The pins are different and it affects which stalk adapter you can use.

hmmm.. cos i just bought an 'alpine' stalk remote adaptor off here, cos the autoleads one doesn't work with the newer HU's. and the plug for mine doesn't fit. the one on the new adaptor is thinner and longer than the plug on my current (p2) stalk. are those thinner than the old type? that 3rd one looks longer so it might be that.

That 'Alpine' stalk adapter is genuine (phone Alpine and quote the part number if you are unsure Wink ) and for a Phase 3 as advertised.

I tried it in my Phase 2.5 prior to selling it, fitted fine but I only had the volume function.

Fitted and worked perfectly in my Phase 3 HDi when I had it.
