I very occasionally get quite a loud crack when pulling away uphill. Thought it would be the usual top mount so I had it all apart today but couldn't get the bastad rubber off to checkAngry

Took a quick video as the mount seemed to be a bit on the soft side.
here Is this anything excessive? Didn't really require much force really.

Had a lot of fun trying to the arm back on as well. Required a lot of levering and moving the engine round.

That looks fine to me
If it were broken in the chassis leg the while thing would move rather than just the top
Try taking a video of it revving up, mine on the rallye was knackered and at a rolling road day it looked like the engine was going to drop out!

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

Thanks, yeah that's what I thought about only the thread moving. I did notice even on idle there was quite a lot of movement in the lower engine mount, another job for another weekend...

My engine mount had cracked the bottom of my cradle and you couldn't tell until the engine mount was removed. Chances are it could be broken.

Even though mine was broken there was very little visible movement.
