Tap into google car mod shop. I have the h7r kit 8ks and the quality of the units are second to none. They come with a slim line ballast or you can specify an ultra slim ballast. I've been running mine for over a year now and they have been trouble free. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Or you can have a h.i.d which is 3 times brighter than any halogen bulb The light given from h.i.ds give greater visibility and illuminates road signs/markings better making them safer. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Square peg, round hole No doubt jamma will be along soon to post pics of his HID's and tell everyone they don't glare because he drove near his gran's village one time during the day and little Jimmy tucked up in bed didn't die from radiation exposure ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Just fit them anyway, there's a minority that have convinced themselves they work ok, buit in truth over here you can't retrofit HID's. Not sure what the laws in Oz are though?________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

You can retrofit them then aye?Only reason I ask is because the reflectors are designed to disperse the beam pattern of a standard filament bulb, light is emitted from HID from an arc instead of from a fixed source so the beam has to be manipulated differently, older or non-HID reflectors cause glare as they're set up for a different light source. If Oz law is ok with it then happy days, the bulbs etc should still fit, just the reflectors that may cause grief ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Jamma bought his kit from me and at the end of the day, the 306 lights are not designed for the HID lights. As cwspellowe says, the HID's throw the light out in a way that is not as directed as normal filament bulbs but they do still work with excellent results. All my cars have them fitted and I will not own a car that doesn't. I have never been pulled over either because of my lights, even though they are 12000k so pretty blue! ________________________________________ 306 GTI-6205 GTI-6 Project 205 1.6 GTI - RIP 205 1.9 TT - RIP E39 535i - Daily driver *Newest edition* E60 M5 5l v10 - The weekend car |

Pretty much f*ck all stilly. Even with an anti glare cap, like the ph3 crystals have over the dipped bulbs, light is still scattered every which way apart from towards the road. The only difference being the light isn't aimed directly at the oncoming traffic, it just bounces off the reflectors towards them ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |
