Hi guys.

Just a thought but I'm thinking of running 205mm tyres on my clones. Is it safe? Or just a pointless thought LOL

Had a quick search and couldn't find much. All advice welcome.

Why are you wanting to do it? Its perfectly safe to do so but you would be restricting your tyre options (they'd also be more expensive) for no real benefit as far as i can see

bit pointless really, cyclones are only 6" wide so they'll flop about a bit, and 205 width tyres cost more, they're heavier too.

What about on a 7 inch wheel like team dynamics? Better grip or no?

in a 15 probably still best sticking to 195, but on a 16" where the sidewall is lower at a 45 profile then a 205 will work.

Thanks for the reply guys. It was just a thought really and due to your answers I will not bother. Just fancied a wider tyre but I understand what you are saying about it might flop about a bit.
