Just changed the rear beam on the Rallye a couple of days ago and the handbrake light has been on since. I thought it might have been dodgy ABS sensors on the new beam but the ABS seems to be working fine from a little test this morning.

Brake fluid is all topped up too. Any ideas?

Rear beam has nothing to do with hand brake light - its activated by the switch under the hand brake lever

if the abs light is on as well its the abs , if not its the switch under the handbrake as said earlier

I'll have a look at the switch. Does the centre console have to come out to get access to it?

Hand brake light will either be low brake fluid or the switch under the lever itself.

Noticed it flashing today and it went off for a few seconds so probably is just a dodgy connection on the switch

As Carl said; Sounds like Brake fluid level low, flashing is the fluid swishing about the sensor. have a double check.
