Hey, Iv been under the car all morning trying to change the steering ram. Iv got it up on axle stands so there aint much clearance off the ground.

Im really struggling to get the two short feed pipes off. Iv got one slackened at the opposite end from the ram but the other 3 unions ( 1 on the ram and 2 on the other pipe) are bloody tight and my hyd. pipe spanner is to short to get any leverage and if i use a normal 12mm combi the union starts to round off Sad

I think if there was a bit more access it would be a doddle Whistle

Any ways just wondering what other peoples solutions to this is?

Also the plasticy ram cover is destroyed, has any one made a homemade one that done the job?

Thanks

I dropped the entire subframe in the end, was a ballache in a different way as it's big and heavy, but meant you could take it all apart, clean it up then put it back on.

    Oh, and Happy Birthday Wink

If it's giving you stick getting them off you'll be having great fun putting them back in the new one, getting them to thread straight was a pain. And that's standing under a ramp.
