Chaps,

Just been to ECP to get an oil filter for the rallye, and one for the Mrs' 307 hdi. All normal, however the oil filters are the same for both cars !? Just wondered if anyone else can confirm this is right as i dont fully trust the computer systems ! LOL

Cheers, Tom

Pretty sure the oil filters are the same for most the engines (petrol and diesel) after all they all do the same thing dont they?

When i went to pug i got the same filter for the HDI that i got for my 6 and i assume its the same engine in the 307.

No idea, i thought there may have been a slight variance between petrol and diesel. Both Bosch filters and identical numbers etc.

My 2.0 HDi and the Rallye use the same filter. Some of the newer, smaller HDi's use paper filter cartridges though I believe.

*Taken from the Fram book*

The GTi6 from 07/98 use the same filter as the HDi 306's. PH9599

Up to 07/98 they use the earlier version of the filter, same as he D-turbos. PH5566A

Either will fit but the newer ones are for the longer service intervals.
