i am currently havin problems with my 306 2l xsi.
when i drive it to work in the morning it seams fine, but when i drive back in the evenings after about 45 min it starts to hesitate.
the problem starts with the car holdin back and loosing speed (70mph) when i put the foot down picks up power again. the engine management light comes on briefly then goes back out. at times the revs bounce on idle rather than stayin on 800rpm.

i am thinking it could be the MAP SENSOR?

Also had a diagnostic check carried out but no fualts are present.

any ideas?

could be mate. i have ordered a throttle position sensor a map sensor and the lambda sensor will change one at a time and see what happens.
if all that fails then maybe coilpack and fuel pump.
really dont know whay to think as the ecu did not log any faults.

Sometimes they don't log the faults though if they are intermittent. For example icv faults don't show on diag.

Could be a coilpack playing up. Does it run badly when idling? If so what you need to do is one at a time remove the electrical plug from each coil pack. When you pull the connector the engine note will change. If you unplug one and there is no change you have found the culprit Thumbs up
