Hi all,

Amoungst alot of other things broken or going wrong on the Rallye there seems to be a strange noise from the engine.

Hard to explain but it sounds like a metal on metal rubbing.(very light) it goes up with the revs and is a consistant noise (doesnt stop as it gets hot or anything)
Its quite loud when the engie is running with the bonnet up, when you shut the bonnet it gets alot quieter but can still be heard.

Ive checked oils etc etc just running out of ideas to what it could be.

cheers.

It's probably dry bearings on the aux belt tensioner or idle roller.

Start the engine with the aux belt off and see if it goes.
