Hey guys,Removed the head from the block and just wondering whats the best way to clean up the top of the block and cylinder head?

Take it to a machine shop and have the head skimmed and the block decked. I pay about £30 for each. |

Engineers Scraper and a scotch brite pad to finish. Defo worth having the head skimmed while its off or take to an engineers shop to check it with a straight edge at least. I made the mistake of not checking a head once when doing a head gasket.. it lasted a month before it blew again. |
