When converting to gti6 calipers onto a 205 gti can i use standard gti 6 discs whilst retaining my original 1.9 gti wheels.I would also like to use gti6 hubs I have been recommended ferodo 25000 pads but have been told that gti6 hubs will upset the camber has anyone had experience with the above or can advise or can do me a good dea on disks pads and braided hoses ? also what brake fluid would be best suited to my application cheers ________________________________________ 205 GTI6 235 bhp at 7400 rpm |

To avoid messing up the camber, make sure you use 1.9 gti hubs. The 306 283mm discs will fit fine, but just make sure any wheel weights fitted are on the very outer edge of the inner of the wheel otherwise the calliper will catch them and rip them off.I wouldnt bother with Ferodo DS2500 pads, as the 6 brakes are almost overkill on the 205 anyway. Just go for standard pads, a set of braided hoses to improve the pedal feel and some normal DOT 4 fluid. If you're going to use it on track then you may wish to use 5.1 fluid just in case. You will also need to use the 23mm master cylinder from a 406 otherwise your pedal will have too much travel. Hope that helps ________________________________________ 1992 Onyx Black 205 GTI-62005 Honda S2000 (Sold) 2002 Audi S3 (Sold) 2005 Clio 182 Trophy (sold) |

I had 1144 pads on mine and they were very sharp!Your best to use extended hoses when fitting. Miles @ pugracing sells what you need Dont use the 306 hubs. Even with 309 lower arms I had positive camber. However you can have them machined and inserts made up to give neg camber. I also found with these up front when I ditched the rear brake compensators it was all balanced nicely. Thats my opinion though ________________________________________ How to do a clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

It is up to you to find out but something like a 15mm spacer should see you right. ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |
